Man arrested in Scottsdale after Loop 101 freeway pursuit
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (AP) — Authorities say a man is in custody after an early-morning pursuit on the Loop 101 freeway that ended in Scottsdale.
Tempe police say they got a call around 3 a.m. Sunday about a possible drunk driver behind the wheel of a vehicle with a flat tire.
Officers unsuccessfully tried to stop the vehicle near the area of Scottsdale and McKellips roads.
Arizona Department of Public Safety troopers then followed the suspect through Mesa, Peoria, Glendale and Scottsdale.
Authorities say the man lost control of his vehicle near Scottsdale and Indian Bend roads.
DPS troopers chased the suspect on foot and arrested him.
His name hasn’t been released yet.
