May’s Hat Trick Leads Nashoba Girls to Win

Kaitlyn May scored 3 goals and added an assist while powering Nashoba Tech past Sizer, 4-2, in a non-league girls soccer game.

Carolyn Dorman netted 1 goal for the Vikings. Rachel Stein and Angelina Sgrosso potted 1 goal apiece. Kayla Miller earned the win in goal.

Alvirne’s goals were scored by Emily Lizotte and Ashley Lecomte, but the Broncos fell short.

Picking up assists for the Broncos (2-3) were Maddie Bertrand, Emily Lizotte and Rose Boudreau. Defensively, Sara Ruigrok and goalkeeper Brittney Whiting played well.

Newton South 3

Westford 1

Despite being marked and often double teamed, Ally Giovino found the back of the net for Westford in the DCL home loss.

Playing well on defense were Mel Almasian and Bella Hillman. Brook Ditcham, Dominique Paglia and Shadee Saberi also starred. In net, Mya Barber-Mingo had a great game for the Grey Ghosts with 14 saves.

Shailagh Corcoran scored a goal and had an assist for Chelmsford (0-1-2) in this MVC game Thursday.

Isabelle Cole netted the first Lions’ goal off a corner kick from Corcoran.

Dracut 4

Billerica 0

Allison Martin scored 2 goals while leading Dracut past Billerica in a game played Thursday.

Anna Gorman (PK) and Sydney Durkin netted the other Middie goals. MaKendra Looney had an assist. Brooke Boemeester made 9 saves while posting the shutout in goal.

Mackenzie Balous, Katherine Morissette, Jessica Gooch and Emma Moynihan had strong games on defense.

Edoardo Di Carlo led the Crusaders to the non-league victory by scoring a goal and adding an assist.

Alex Graves and Liam Fisher each netted a goal for Lowell Catholic (2-1), while Tristan Melo and Sean Cunningham each set up a tally.
