Body washes ashore, but authorities don’t suspect wrongdoing
HULL, Mass. (AP) — A man’s body was discovered on a Massachusetts beach, but authorities say they don’t suspect any criminal wrongdoing.
The Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office said the body of 78-year-old Robert Marks of Hull washed ashore at about 7:20 a.m. on Friday at Nantasket Beach in Hull, on the state’s South Shore.
State Police were called to investigate, and a family member identified the body as Marks. His body was taken to the Medical Examiner’s Office to determine the cause and manner of his death.
The District Attorney’s Office said there does not appear to be any criminal circumstances surrounding the death.
