Bear Creek Community Center hosts events
The Harris County Precinct 3 Bear Creek Community Center will be temporarily housed and have limited classes/events at the Glazier Senior Education Center, 16600 Pine Forest Lane, Houston.
In addition to scheduled activities, Bear Creek Community Center is now offering the following upcoming events and activities in September.
Hearing Loss Association of America ‘Can you hear me now?’
Friday, Sept. 7, from 1:30-3 p.m. Learn what help is available to those who have hearing loss. From telephones to laptops help is available. Doctors and audiologists can only provide so much information. The Hearing Loss Association of America provides support to the Houston area to connect people with information and help. AARP Defensive Driving
An AARP representative will conduct a drivers’ safety course from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8. This course can assist drivers in receiving a discount on their auto insurance. Join the weekly marital arts class and learn the art of self-defense on Thursdays. Children ages 6-12 meet from 6:30-7:30 p.m. and ages 13 through adults meet 7:30-8:30 p.m. Call 713-274-3190 to register.
Interested in learning more about the benefits of a vegetarian or vegan diet? Attend a two-part class taught by a Master Gardener and Vegan. Party Bridge on Mondays

People who love to knit, crochet, sew or needlepoint are asked to bring a project and join the group from 9:30-11:45 a.m. on Tuesdays.

Play Mah Jongg on Saturdays from noon-3 p.m. You must already know how to play to join the game.
