Planning commission recommends pair of zoning changes
NORFOLK - The Norfolk Planning Commission recommended a pair of zoning changes at its meeting Wednesday.
City Planner Val Grimes told the commissioners the zoning requests are for the Blackberry Heights Subdivision, which is northwest of Norfolk near 25th Street and Eisenhower Avenue.
Grimes said the developers are cleaning up some zoning for the final plat of the project.
“To make the lots fit in preparation of the final plat, the one that is the zone change that’s going from R-1 (Single Family Residential) and Ag to R-2 (One and Two Family Residential) is the eastern portion because they will have duplexes in that area for R-2.”
Grimes said the other change is for some agricultural zoning that butts up next to some single family lots.
The commissioners voted unanimously to recommend both zoning changes.
