BULLHEAD CITY — The T-birds will play their final home football game of the season at 7 tonight at Mohave High School against the Prescott High School Badgers.

The Arizona Interscholastic Association 4A Grand Canyon Region game will feature the 5-2 overall, 3-0 in region Badgers and the 2-5 overall, 0-3 in region T-birds.

The Badgers edged their rival Bradshaw Mountain Bears 26-21 on Oct. 5.

Badgers quarterback Austin Clark used his arm and his feet to top the Bears.

Clark completed 14-of-20 passes for 203 yards with two TD passes, and the fleet-footed signal-caller gained 131 yards on 17 carries with one TD run.

“They have a dynmaic quarterback who leads the team in rushing, love to use multiple formations to get their guy in space to make things happen,” said T-birds head coach Rudy Olvera by email. “They are rolling after beating Bradshaw last week and we need to play our best ball to stop their momentum at this point in the season.”

Clark has gained 1,185 yards rushing on 132 carries for 16 TDs, which ranks him fourth in the AIA’s 4A conference.

The T-birds are coming off a 52-7 road loss to the Coconino High School Panthers on Oct. 5.

Senior running back Will Robinzine continues to roll whether Mohave wins or loses.

Robinzine gained 146 yards on 23 carries with one TD run, which was Mohave’s lone touchdown against the Panthers.

Mohave’s rugged running back has gained 1,137 yards on 174 carries for 13 TDs, which ranks him fifth in the AIA’s 4A conference.

Senior quarterback Brent Moore has gained 489 yards on 88 carries for four TDs, and the Mohave signal-caller has completed 11-of-40 passes for two TDs and three interceptions for the run-first Mohave offense.

Senior linebacker Julio Robles has 54 tackles, 15 unassisted, to lead the T-birds. He also has recorded 2.0 sacks and recovered one fumble.
