Police: Kentucky school bus driver charged with sexual abuse
PINEVILLE, Ky. (AP) — Kentucky State Police say a former school bus driver accused of inappropriately touching a female student on several occasions has been arrested.
Troopers tell news outlets that 68-year-old David Deitsch was charged Friday with first-degree sexual abuse. WKYT-TV on Monday cited his arrest citation as saying that he is accused of inappropriately touching the student while she was getting on and off the bus.
Bell Central School Center in Pineville contacted troopers in Harlan to report a sexual abuse complaint involving Deitsch. Troopers say an investigation began May 3. The Bell County School Distrcit suspended him, and he later resigned.
Deitsch was being held on a $250,000 bond, and it is unclear if he has a lawyer.
Troopers say they are continuing to investigate.
