Police: Man struck, killed by commuter train in Quincy
QUINCY, Mass. (AP) — Transit police say a commuter train struck and killed a man who had been trespassing on tracks in Quincy.
Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority police and Quincy emergency officials responded at 8:30 p.m. Friday to reports of a person truck by a train just south of the Wollaston station on the Old Colony Line.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity hasn’t been released.
Police and prosecutors are investigating why the man was on the tracks. Investigators say foul play isn’t suspected.
