Police: Bethel man crashes after running stop sign in Redding
REDDING — A Bethel man was ticketed for running a stop sign, driving without a license and possessing alcohol under the legal limit following a single-vehicle crash Saturday night.
Lucas Visconti was driving eastbound on Umpawaug Road around 8 p.m. when he blew through a stop sign and crashed into a cement bridge abutment at the Route 53 intersection.
The 19-year-old did not have a driver’s license, said police, and alcohol was found inside his badly damaged 2016 Ford Fusion.
Police said Visconti was not intoxicated at the time of the crash.
