SUWANEE, Ga.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug 20, 2018--Meggitt Training Systems will highlight its full range of FATS ® small-arms simulators at TACOPS East. The training conference, supported by tactical teams from Washington, D.C., Maryland and Virginia, will be held September 5-7, 2018 at the Marriott Crystal Gateway in Arlington, Va.

“Tactical law enforcement challenges continue to evolve and Meggitt’s growing product line of simulators has done the same, thanks to in-house expertise and customer feedback,” said Matt Cunningham, Meggitt’s director of virtual systems sales. “From the portable FATS 100P to the full-featured 100LE, we help agencies of all sizes enhance accuracy and readiness at a time when both are more important than ever.”

The FATS 100P features advanced functionality for both instructor and trainee, delivering weapon handling and shot placement analytics, marksmanship automatic coaching tools, video-based judgmental training for escalation and de-escalation, and enhanced graphic capabilities, all in a compact package. Portable and light, the FATS 100P comes in two rugged hand-carry cases the size of a large range bag that allow easy transportation, set-up and operation by one person. Up to six weapon simulators, including wireless BlueFire ® ones, can be run simultaneously.

The FATS 100LE simulator leverages state-of-the-art technology developed for and delivered to the US Army and Marine Corps, but customized for law enforcement training. Police-specific features include 3D marksmanship training, wireless tablet control with auto-coaching, and an intuitive unified interface across all training modes – for ease of use and reduction in training requirements. Consistent with its premium positioning, the FATS 100LE also features multiple screen capability, enhanced visuals, multiple weapons per trainee and BlueFire weapons. On-site installation and training are provided by Meggitt personnel to ensure the industry’s most sophisticated use-of-force simulator is ready for optimal use.
