Darlington County detention officer arrested, fired
DARLINGTON, S.C. – A detention officer in Darlington County has been arrested on a charge of second-degree domestic violence, according to the Darlington County Sheriff’s Office.
The officer, Timothy Tyler Jackson, 25, has been fired from the W. Glenn Campbell Detention Center, according to an email to news media from Lt. Robby Kilgo of the sheriff’s office.
Jackson is accused of having a “physical altercation with a female” he lived with.
Kilgo said Jackson was being sent to a neighboring county to await a bond hearing.
