Flood advisory: LaGrange, Noble, Steuben

May 1, 2019

The National Weather Service has issued an urban and small stream flood advisory for parts of LaGrange, Noble and Steuben counties until 11 p.m. tonight.

Radar estimates and spotter reports late this morning indicated 1 to 3 inches of rain fell across the counties from Tuesday into early Wednesday, with locally higher amounts of around 4 inches, the weather service said.

It said runoff from the heavy rainfall will continue to result in some flooding into tonight, and flooding near rivers and small streams will continue.

Additional rain today is expected to be less than a quarter-inch, the weather service said.

Locations that will experience flooding include Angola, Ligonier, LaGrange, Hudson, Fremont, Topeka, Ray, Orland and Clear Lake.
