Beat Fever and Today, I’m Brave Launch “Play for Puerto Rico” Music Charity Campaign to Bring Awareness, Drive Donations and Rebuild Roofs in Puerto Rico
SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct 12, 2018--Beat Fever, a mobile music app with over 9.1 million music fans, is launching the “Play for Puerto Rico” charity campaign to drive awareness and donations for 100Roofs.org’s Puerto Rico recovery efforts to raise $500,000 to rebuild 100 roofs by the end of the year. Beat Fever will match donations up to $5,000.

“Play for Puerto Rico” comes to life for music fans as an interactive album, featuring music from Daddy Yankee, Luis Fonsi, and Nicky Jam, with more songs to be added in the coming weeks.
Music fans tap to the beat of the songs, learn about the 100Roofs project via pop-up videos between songs, and can donate to 100Roofs directly with the click of a button. Plus, Puerto Rican themed virtual clothing will be available, allowing music fans to give back while personalizing their avatar.
A key initiative of nonprofit Today, I’m Brave, 100Roofs is spearheaded by Rosie Perez and Ramon Rodriguez in partnership with disaster relief organization Heart 9/11 to rebuild roofs in Puerto Rico that were devastated by the hurricanes exactly a year ago. Through Heart 9/11, 100Roofs is sending teams to Puerto Rico to rebuild roofs and teach local men and women carpentry skills through an apprenticeship program so they have the tangible and empowering skills to rebuild their respective communities.
