Santa visits Fireside Grocery
SHERIDAN TOWNSHIP — In the first of what organizers hope will be an annual tradition, the Fireside Grocery hosted a visit with Santa Claus Sunday at 2007 N. Benson Road near Tallman Lake in Sheridan Township.
Paid for by Shea’s Benefit Mud Run and store owners Marc and Elene LeBrun and Chris Genta, the event drew around 50 kids, according to Sara Jensen, an employee of Fireside Grocery who helped organize and oversee the event.
Santa arrived at around 1 p.m. and stayed until 4 p.m., greeting kids and asking for their Christmas wishes, which included LOL Dolls and remote-controlled cars, according to organizers.
