Thanks for a PAWSititve 2018

December 18, 2018

Be PAWSitive Therapy Pets and Community Education would like to thank members of the community for a fantastic year helping to bring therapy pets to folks of all ages, and educating children about taking care of pets in so many locales. We visited hundreds of residents, and our TheraPAWS pet teams volunteered hundreds of hours with their pet.

We have some wonderful supporters in this region, and we also collaborate with some great organizations, including Fitchburg Public Schools, Fitchburg Public Library, The Arc of Opportunity, MIHN, Barnes and Noble, Boys and Girls Club, The Highlands, First Parish Unitarian in Lancaster, D’Ambrosio Eye Care, Fitchburg/Leominster Animal Control, Hannafords, Ahimsa Haven, Pat Brody Shelter for Cats, Fitchburg State University, Second Chance Animal Services. We also have a special thanks to our incredible partners, Friends of Fitchburg Dogs who built the first dog park for the benefit of all dogs.

We wanted to draw your readers’ attention to a new non-profit which is doing excellent work helping people be good pet owners. Sophie’s Mission helps pet owners with food and supplies. If you need help feeding your dog, cat, or other pet because of a loss of work, or another life-change, reach out to them at 978-728-9111 or visit sophiesmission.org . Visit “Be PAWSitive” on Facebook.
