KATMANDU, Nepal (AP) _ Monsoon rains triggered landslides in two western Nepali villages, killing at least 21 people, a local news agency reported Sunday.

District official Ram Prasad Sharma said 11 people in the village of Lali were swept away by a landslide Friday, the National News Agency reported. Two of them are still missing.

The area is 330 miles west of Katmandu, the Nepalese capital.

Also Friday, 12 people were killed by a landslide in Gulmi, 125 miles west of Katmandu, officials said.
