easyJet Orders 15 Boeing 737-700s

SEATTLE (AP) _ British airline easyJet has ordered 15 of Boeing’s next-generation 737-700 jetliners and taken options for 15 more.

The value of the firm order is about $650 million, Boeing announced today. The airline is to receive the first of its new planes in October 2000.

The 737-700 can hold 128-149 passengers. With easyJet’s order, Boeing has announced orders for 965 of its new-generation versions of the 737.
