WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (AP) — Authorities in North Carolina have charged a woman in connection with a man's drug overdose death in January.

A news release from the Winston-Salem Police Department on Wednesday said 27-year-old Kelsea Jewel Harris of King was charged with second-degree murder-distribution of drug. Police records show she was arrested on Aug. 21.

According to police, 56-year-old Kevin Paul Flaherty was found dead in his Winston-Salem home on Jan. 24. Police said an autopsy by a Forsyth County medical examiner determined that Flaherty died of heroin toxicity.

Harris is being held in the Forsyth County jail under a $150,000 bond. Online records don't indicate whether she has an attorney.
