The Latest: 2 wounded in shooting at Colorado Springs mall

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) — The Latest on a shooting outside a mall in Colorado Springs (all times local):

4:20 p.m.

Investigators say two people were injured in a drive-by shooting outside a Colorado Springs mall.

Police Lt. Howard Black says the shooting followed a verbal altercation in the parking lot at the Citadel Mall east of downtown Tuesday afternoon. The Gazette reports the victims’ injuries were not life-threatening, and police are still looking for the shooter.

Hundreds of people were inside the mall, which will remain closed Tuesday night.

Investigators have not released the names of anyone involved.

Police say two people have been wounded in a shooting at a Colorado Springs mall.

Lt. Howard Black says the shooting occurred shortly before 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Citadel Mall east of downtown.

Police urged citizens to stay away from the mall, which was closed after the shooting.

Authorities didn’t immediately release more details on the incident, including whether a suspect or suspects were in custody.

The conditions of those wounded wasn’t immediately known.
