BERKELEY, Calif. (AP) _ Dynavax Technologies Corp. (DVAX) on Monday reported a loss of $39.4 million in its second quarter.

On a per-share basis, the Berkeley, California-based company said it had a loss of 63 cents.

The biopharmaceutical company posted revenue of $1.3 million in the period.

Dynavax Technologies shares have dropped 31 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Monday, shares hit $12.90, a drop of 22 percent in the last 12 months.
