NEW YORK (AP) _ Charge d'Affaires, an 11-1 shot, rallied for a head victory over Comic Strip in the $110,80 Knickerbocker Handicap at Aqueduct Saturday.

The 4-year-old colt, recently recovered from foot problems, showed his top form while carrying 114 pounds with Jose Santos over 1 1/8 miles on the turf course in 1:49. He earned $66,480 for the Marquise de Mortalla.

Comic Strip closed well to be second in the field of seven, a length ahead of Nat's Big Party.

The winner returned $25, $6.60 and $3.20, Comic Strip paid $2.50 and $2.10 and Nat's Big Party was $2.70 to show.

Belle Cherie, a 6-1 shot ridden by John Velazquez, won the co-featured $110,000 Turnback the Alarm Handicap by three lengths. Velazquez also was aboard Snit, the winner of last year's race.

Belle Cherie carried 112 pounds over 1 1/8 miles in 1:50 and earned $66,000 for Bellemeadows Farm and Lael Stable. It was the second win in six starts this year for the 3-year-old filly.

Brushed Halory was runner-up in the field of eight, 1 1/4 lengths ahead of Sweet Misty.

Belle Cherie returned $14.60, $8.20 and $7.90. Brushed Halory paid $7.90 and $6.20 and Sweet Misty was $10.20 to show.
