NextEra Energy Partners: 4Q Earnings Snapshot
JUNO BEACH, Fla. (AP) _ NextEra Energy Partners LP (NEP) on Friday reported a loss of $22 million in its fourth quarter.
On a per-share basis, the Juno Beach, Florida-based company said it had a loss of 39 cents.
The results did not meet Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of five analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 49 cents per share.
The limited partnership for clean-energy projects posted revenue of $155 million in the period, also falling short of Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $276.4 million.
For the year, the company reported net income of $167 million, or $2.91 per share, swinging to a profit in the period. Revenue was reported as $771 million.
NextEra Energy Partners shares have dropped slightly more than 3 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has dropped slightly in the last 12 months.
