Correction: Tourist Drowning story
SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico (AP) — In an April 26 story about the drowning of a U.S. tourist in Puerto Rico, The Associated Press, relying on information from police, misspelled the woman’s name. Her name was Kristy Paper, not Christy Paper.
A corrected version of the story is below:
US tourist drowns at popular Puerto Rico beach
American tourist drowns at popular beach on north coast of Puerto Rico
Authorities in Puerto Rico say a U.S. tourist drowned at a beach on the island’s north coast.
The woman was 60-year-old Kristy Paper, of Kansas City, Missouri.
A police statement said she drowned Saturday at Caza y Pesca beach, a popular weekend spot in the town of Arecibo.
