Painting the ‘fun’ in fundraiser

The participants’ eyes watched as artist Joann Snay demonstrated how to paint the wintry forest scene step-by-step.

Then with brushes in hand they set to work painting their own rendition of the scene — complete with snowy hills, a frosted tree, a full moon shining in a blue night sky and the silhouette of deer, moose or bear. Often they looked back at Snay or at the complete example painting she had on display.

Slowly but surely — and a lot of laughs later — each of the 16 participants completed their own versions of the forest painting, ready for them to hang on their walls at home.
