Johnny Cash Hopes To Resume Performances May 30
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) _ Country music star Johnny Cash, who was hospitalized in Iowa for exhaustion, is resting at his suburban home and hopes to resume performances May 30, his manager said Tuesday.
Cash, 55, fell ill during a concert Saturday night in Council Bluffs, Iowa and returned home Monday when he was released from Mercy Hospital there, said manager Lew Robbins.
″The doctor has suggested rest for 10 days,″ Robbins said. ″He hopes to resume performing May 30 in Memphis. He’s better but tired.″
Cash is known for such hits as ″A Boy Named Sue,″ ″I Walk the Line″ and ″Ring of Fire.″
