Victims ID’d in fiery, head-on crash in northwestern Montana
COLUMBIA FALLS, Mont. (AP) — Authorities have released the names of two people who died in a fiery, head-on collision on U.S. Highway 2 in northwestern Montana.
The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office on Sunday said 27-year-old Marlow James Moschetti from Kalispell was driving a pickup at speeds up to 95 miles per hour (153 kph) prior to the July 26 crash, according to the Daily Inter Lake .
Authorities say Moschetti’s truck crossed into oncoming traffic and crashed into a pickup driven by 56-year-old Linda Turner of Sumter, South Carolina.
Both vehicles were consumed by a fire immediately after the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
