Cumberland Fair kicks off for 142nd year
CUMBERLAND, Maine (AP) — The Cumberland County Fair is kicking off for the 142nd year.
The fair at the Cumberland Fairgrounds gets underway Sunday and runs through next Saturday.
It’s the largest agricultural event in the county, known for its agricultural exhibits, pig scrambles, giant pumpkin-growing contest and harness racing.
There’s also music, food, carnival rides, livestock events and a demolition derby.
This year’s fair also includes professional rodeo and bull riding events.
