NEW YORK (AP) _ Right wing Theo Fleury signed today with the New York Ranglers as an unrestricted free agent.

The NHL club did not disclose terms of the deal.

The 31-year-old Fleury played 11 years with the Calgary Flames before being traded to the Colorado Avalanche on Feb. 28.

He had 93 points on 40 goals and 53 assists during the 1998-99 regular season. In the playoffs, he scored five goals and 12 assists in 18 games for the Avalanche.

The 5-foot-6, 180-pound wing was a six-time NHL all-star and was a key member of Calgary’s 1988-89 Stanley Cup championship club.
