Tree removal planned along Merritt Parkway this weekend

More trees and dead branches will be coming down this weeked along the Merritt Parkway in Greenwich.

The Department of Transportation said a tree removal operation will be performed on southbound Merritt in Greenwich between 6 a.m. and noon on Saturday and Sunday.

The project consists of cutting dead trees, high limbing and clearing signs.

DOT crews will perform the tree removal operation.

Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 15 southbound in Greenwich between Exit 27 (Route 120A) and Exit 28 (Round Hill Road). A moveable sign pattern will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone.
