Jamaica police seize cocaine at Kingston port

KINGSTON, Jamaica (AP) — Authorities in Jamaica say they have seized nearly half a million dollars worth of cocaine.

Police said in a statement Saturday that they discovered 44 kilograms (97 pounds) of cocaine during a security check at a port in the capital of Kingston.

They said the drugs were stashed inside a large container. No one has been arrested.
