TEXAS COLD CASE ARREST _ Colorado police have arrested a 73-year-old man wanted in Texas for a killing that happened 25 years ago. The Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office says deputies and federal marshals arrested Jesse D. Hogue of Pueblo West without incident Thursday and booked him into the Pueblo County Detention Center where he will await extradition to Texas.
GROUNDWATER CONTAMINATION _ Officials say contaminants are present in groundwater near an electric company’s northern Colorado facility, and reports suggest the coal-fired facility may be the cause.
SKIER INJURED _ A 56-year-old man has suffered serious injury after falling during a ski run at a Colorado ski area. The man, who was not identified, fell while skiing the Highlands Bowl at Aspen Highlands on Thursday.
YOUTH LOCKUPS _ Arkansas officials say a Nevada-based group recently awarded a nearly $16 million contract to run youth lockup facilities in the state is disqualified from winning the bid after violating the state’s request for proposal terms.
