GA field hockey team shuts out St. Luke’s

Showing its offensive depth, Greenwich Academy received goals from six different players in its 6-0 win road win over St. Luke’s School Monday in an FAA matchup.

The 3-0 Gators held a 3-0 halftime lead. Julia Freedman scored the game’s first goal with 28:54 remaining in the first half. Lila Murray set Freedman up for the tally.

Murray gave GA a 2-0 lead, scoring off a pass from Alessia Packard at the 24:54 mark of the first half. Ada Shaffer made it 3-0 with a goal 1:10 later. Katharine Glassmeyer and Maya Walker each assisted on the goal.

Georgia Gallagher started the scoring for the Gators in the second half. Assisting on the goal were Murray and Cameron Brower at the 21:55 mark. Brower and Olivia Jonokuchi each notched second-half goals for the Gators, which generated six penalty corners. Goalie Hamilton Doster got the shutout win.
