FRISCO, Texas (AP) — The Dallas Cowboys and Zack Martin have agreed to terms on an $84 million, six-year contract extension that will make the two-time All-Pro the highest-paid guard in the NFL. That’s according to a person with direct knowledge of the deal, who tells The Associated Press the contract includes $40 million in guaranteed money.

UNDATED (AP) — Women’s Basketball Hall of Famer Anne Donovan has died. The 6-foot-8 center won a national championship at Old Dominion, two Olympic gold medals as a player and another as a coach. Donovan became the first female coach and the youngest person to win a title in the WNBA when at 42 she guided the Seattle Storm to a championship in 2004. Her family says Donovan died of heart failure yesterday at age 56.

BOSTON (AP) — A jury has ruled in favor of the Boston Red Sox in a lawsuit brought by a Massachusetts woman who was hit by a foul ball at Fenway Park in 2014. The jury found that the team and principal owner John Henry were not negligent. Stephanie Taubin sued for $9.5 million, saying she suffered facial fractures and neurological damage from a foul ball while sitting in luxury seats unprotected by glass or netting.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Steve Scalise (skuh-LEES’) will be wearing a U.S. Capitol Police ball cap tonight when he starts at second base in the annual congressional baseball game. The cap is in honor of the two officers who returned fire after Scalise and four others were shot during a practice a year ago. The Louisiana congressman was gravely wounded. He’s had nine surgeries and still walks with crutches or a cane.
