Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation to host Big Game Banquet March 16
The Roseburg chapter of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation will host its 29th annual Big Game Banquet on March 16 at the Douglas County Fairgrounds.
The mission of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation is to ensure the future of elk, other wildlife, their habitat and our hunting heritage. The foundation is committed to conserving, restoring and enhancing natural habitats; promoting the sound management of wild, free-ranging elk; fostering cooperation among federal, state, tribal and private organizations; and educating members, kids of all ages and the public about habitat conservation.
Through 2018, Oregon’s Roseburg chapter has raised over $1.6 million for RMEF projects. This commitment has contributed to over 917 projects, valued at more than $61.8 million in habitat preservation and improvement in Oregon alone.
