Beaver Dam Police Beat: Sept. 10, 2018

Fire alarm — A man reported his lawnmower tipped over and started on fire around Lincoln Avenue and Washington Street at 10:59 a.m. on Monday. The fire department responded.

Accident — Police responded to an accident between two cars in the intersection of Spring Street and McCollum Way at 11:58 a.m. on Monday. It didn’t need a report and there were no citations.

Traffic complaint — Police responded to a complaint of an adult toy in the roadway in the 700 block of Park Avenue at 1:47 p.m. on Monday. The toy was disposed.

Animal complaint — The hospital reported a woman in the emergency room who was bit by her own dog in the 600 block of South Center Street at 3:11 p.m. on Monday. Police took a report and explained the quarantine process.

Disorderly conduct — Police received a report of a man kicking in his neighbor’s door in the 300 block of West Maple Street at 4:08 p.m. on Monday. Six officers responded. The man was taken to jail for probation hold and on warrant. A second man was taken to jail for probation hold, a warrant and for drug possession.

Accident — Police responded to an accident between two vehicles in the intersection of York Street and Norris Street at 6:14 p.m. on Monday. There was moderate damage. One driver received a citation for inattentive driving.

Hit-and-run — Police received a report of a black Mercury Mountaineer hitting a legally parked vehicle that lost its passenger side mirror in the 700 block of South Lincoln Avenue at 6:15 p.m. on Monday.
