Bridgewater executive, Hartford official to hold top spots under Lamont

December 4, 2018

Governor-elect Ned Lamont will name Melissa McCaw, the acting chief financial officer for the City of Hartford, as his top budget and policy official, according to sources involved in the transition. Lamont will make the announcement this afternoon in Hartford.

Lamont is also expected to appoint Ryan Drajewicz, a one-time aid to former U.S. Sen. Chris Dodd and an executive at Bridgewater, as chief of staff for his administration. Drajewicz has been working as the executive director of the Lamont transition team after taking a leave of absence from Bridgewater, the world’s largest hedge fund.

McCaw previously worked as a budget manager in the Office of Policy and Management, and a budget director for the University of Hartford.
