WVW Appoints New Finance Manager
KINGSTON — Wyoming Valley West voted Monday to appoint a new finance manager and consolidated three finance jobs into two.
The job consolidation will save around $100,000 a year, said Finance Manager Joe Rodriguez, who is retiring at the end of the year. Louis Cardoni will move up from assistant finance manager to finance manager on Jan. 1 at a salary of $70,000 a year.
Tracy Varvaglione, currently an administrative assistant, will become assistant to the finance manager on Jan. 1 at a salary of $50,010 a year. The board voted to eliminate the positions of assistant finance manager and administrative assistant.
Also Monday, the board voted to appoint Charles Coslett as school district solicitor at $47,000 a year and Michael J. Hudacek Sr. as solicitor’s consultant at $1 year. The district provides Hudacek with health benefits and does not provide health benefits to Coslett.
Prior to the regular meeting, the board held an annual reorganization meeting and voted to keep Joseph Mazur as board president and David Usavage as board vice president.
