St. Jude Parish 65th Annual Picnic In The Grove

Organizers from St. Jude Parish gathered recently to finalize plans for the 65th annual St. Jude Parish Picnic, which will be held from 4 to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Aug. 10-11, and noon to 9 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 12, on the parish grounds, 420 S. Mountain Blvd., Mountain Top. The picnic features local, ethnic and international foods. There will be a backyard barbecue bonanza raffle, theme basket raffle, instant and regular bingo, beer/wine, children’s games and activities, and an open pit barbecue chicken dinner starting at noon Sunday. Entertainment on Friday will be Peaceful Chaos from Above with Karaoke from 7 to 10 p.m.; Saturday, Sister Esther, 7 to 11 p.m. Grand prize raffle is $10,000. Tickets are available at the parish office. Ample on-site parking, including handicap parking, is available. Shuttle service parking to and from Crestwood High School is also available.
