Coal Grove’s Music, Green’s Smith on all-Ohio third team
HUNTINGTON — Coal Grove High School football standout Aaron Music was named to the All-Ohio Division VI third team as a defensive back Monday.
Green High School’s Alec Smith, a running back, was named to the third team in Division VII.
Two Coal Grove players, Nate Harmon and Austin Stapleton, earned special honorable mention, as did Green’s Caleb Derifield and Lonnie Smith; Symmes Valley’s Chad Morris, Jack Leith and Keifer Wilson; and South Gallia Kyle Northup.
In Division VI, Patrick Cotter of Milford Center Fairbanks was chosen coach of the year. Offensive player of the year was Blaine Swartzmiller of Attica Seneca East. Defensive player of the year was Sam Huelsman of Maria Stein Marion Local.
In Division VII, Ben Wilhelm of Edgerton was coach of the year. Offensive player of the year was Logan Pharmer of Ashland Mapleton. Defensive player of the year was Sawyer Koons of Trimble.
