TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) — Arizona State's D.J. Foster has decided to return for his senior season.

The versatile running back had been considering a jump to the NFL, but announced on Tuesday that he wanted to graduate and play one final season with the Sun Devils.

Foster played a variety of positions his first two seasons in the desert before becoming No. 15 Arizona State's primary back this season. He was the only player in FBS to have over 1,000 yards rushing and 600 receiving, finishing with 1,769 all-purpose yards and 12 touchdowns.

Foster has caught a pass in all 40 games he's played at Arizona State, finishing with 62 receptions this season after catching 63 passes last season.

He has 3,965 all-purpose yards in three seasons at Arizona State, including 2,075 rushing.
