More Buffalo wings in S.A. with area’s second Anchor Bar now open
Anchor Bar, the restaurant chain credited with inventing Buffalo wings, has expanded its San Antonio-area footprint, opening a new location on the Northeast Side last week.
The New York-based institution launched its first Texas outpost in July 2017 with a shop near Loop 1604 and Lockhill Selma Road. A year later, franchisee Joe Snyder is at it again, this time going into the former home of Fox’s Pizza & Tap Room along the Interstate 35 corridor through Schertz.
While Anchor Bar is best known for its wings, the restaurant serves a full menu including pizza, burgers, sandwiches, salads and more. The new Anchor Bar location is open 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily at 3900 FM 3009, Suite 101. More at 210-492-9464, anchorbar.com or Facebook: @anchorbarSA.
