Men get prison time in drug-related cases

IRONTON — A Coal Grove man was sentenced to 47 months in prison last week in Lawrence County Common Pleas Court by Judge Charles “Chuck” Cooper.

Frederick R. Jenkins, 40, of the 300 block of High Street, Coal Grove, was sentenced to prison after pleading guilty earlier to tampering with evidence, trafficking in drugs and possession of drugs. He also pleaded innocent to a new charge of failure to appear.

In an unrelated case, Donald Sisler Jr. 28, of County Road 22, Ironton, was sentenced by Judge Andy Ballard to three years in prison for trafficking in heroin, trafficking in meth, illegal conveyance of prohibited items into the grounds of a detention facility and having weapons while under disability.

In other cases:

• David A. Wilson, 27, of Township Road 1336, South Point, pleaded guilty to attempted illegal conveyance of prohibited items onto the grounds of a detention facility. He was sentenced to 11 months in prison and given credit for time already served.

• Curtis E. Ratcliff, 43, of Township Road 1019, South Point, was sentenced to nine months in prison after admitting to violating community control sanctions.

• Summer Paradise, 26, of Elkview, West Virginia, pleaded guilty to receiving stolen property and identity fraud. She was placed on community control sanctions for four years and ordered to complete up to a six-month program at the STAR Community Justice Center in Franklin Furnace, Ohio.

• Alisha Foster, 30, of Little Solida Road, South Point, pleaded guilty to illegal conveyance of prohibited items onto the grounds of a detention facility. Foster was placed in treatment in lieu of conviction requiring her to stay drug-and alcohol-free for a year and get drug treatment.

• Ryley A. Williams, 19, of Gallipolis, Ohio, pleaded guilty in a drug case. He was placed on treatment in lieu of conviction. He was ordered to stay drug-and alcohol-free for a year and get drug treatment.

• Ryan J. McCloud, 31, of Private Drive 550, South Point, pleaded guilty to theft of a motor vehicle. Final sentencing was set for Dec. 12.

• Jeremy B. Slone, 36, of Township Road 1378B, Chesapeake, pleaded guilty to receiving stolen property and possession of heroin. Final sentencing was set for Dec. 5.

• Christopher D. Sowards, 31, of Vincent, Ohio, admitted violating community control sanctions. Final sentencing was set for Dec. 4.

• Rodney D. Turvey, 44, of County Road 103, Ironton, pleaded innocent to tampering with evidence, aggravated trafficking in drugs, trafficking in drugs and possession of criminal tools. Bond was set at $75,000.

• Franklin C. Aldridge, 36, of the 800 block of South 7th Street, Ironton, pleaded innocent to possession of meth, possession of fentanyl and failure to appear. Bond was set at $50,000.

• Donald R. Large, 39, of the 100 block of North Street, Coal Grove, pleaded innocent to burglary. Bond was set at $40,000.

• Savannah N. Jenkins, 30, of the 2600 block of South 5th

Street, Ironton, pleaded innocent to failure to comply with the order or signal of a police officer, trafficking in meth, aggravated possession of drugs and resisting arrest. Bond was set at $35,000.

• Joseph Gardner, 31, of Powell Lane, Flatwoods, Kentucky, pleaded innocent to possession of cocaine, possession of meth and failure to comply with the order or signal of a police officer.

• Joseph D. Hicks, 38, of Louisville, Kentucky, pleaded innocent to possession of heroin, possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond was set at $35,000.

• Timothy R. Kearns, 42, of Elkview, West Virginia, pleaded innocent to identity fraud and receiving stolen property. Bond was set at $15,000.

• Shasta S. Jenkins, 34, of County Road 19, of Kitts Hill, pleaded innocent to two counts of failure to appear and possession of meth. Bond was set at $25,000.

• James D. Cade, 40, of the 1100 block of South 4th Street, Ironton, pleaded innocent to trafficking in meth, possession of cocaine an aggravated possession of drugs. Bond was set at $15,000.

• Nathan L. Craft, 41, of Gainsway Drive, Worthington, Kentucky, pleaded innocent to possession of heroin, possession of drugs and possession of marijuana. Bond was set at $10,000.

• Keenan “Brody” Rowe, 18, of the 1400 block of South 2nd Street, Ironton, pleaded innocent to burglary. Bond was set at $10,000.

• Danny R. Stickler, 19, of the 1400 block of South 2nd Street, Ironton, pleaded innocent to burglary. Bond was set at $10,000.
