HOT SPRINGS, Ark. (AP) _ Bedroom Blues stayed back in the pack for most of the race, then broke for the lead in the final turn to take a 5 1/2-length victory Sunday in the $50,000-added Pippin Stakes at Oaklawn Park.

Under Robby Albarado, Bedroom Blues finished the mile in 1:37 4-5. The 4-year-old daughter of Cure the Blues, trained by Joe Petalino and owned by Lazy E Racing Stable, was the favorite in the field of eight older fillies and mares, paying $3.40, $2.80 and $2.20.

Western Lil set the early pace and held on to finish second, paying $3.80 and $3. Crystal Mine, another 2 1/2 lengths back in third, paid $5.20.

A crowd of 17,707 wagered $1,541,257 on the 10-race program. Betting at simulcast locations raised the total handle to $4,766,200.
