What We Are Working on 8/30/2018 (VIDEO)

August 30, 2018

Lowell Sun

It’s Thursday, Aug. 30, 2018. Here is some of what Sun staffers and other news providers are working on for lowellsun.com and Friday’s edition.

With the Sept. 4 primary fast approaching, Reporter Chris Lisinski,

clisinski@lowellsun.com, takes a look at candidate’s stances on gun

control, not just any candidate, but one perceived by many to be

front-runner.

Reporter Amaris Castillo, acastillo@lowellsun.com, was in Dracut

earlier this week, where the Council on Aging bid adieu to a beloved

employee, Donna Houston. Castillo is also following up on a serious

auto accident late Wednesday afternoon in Dracut.

Reporter Kori Tuitt, ktuitt@lowellsun.com, is in Wilmington,

reporting on the drowning of a 19-year-old man in Silver Lake, also

late Wednesday afternoon.

Reporter Rick Sobey, rsobey@lowellsun.com. has a nice story about a

Lowell non-profit whose work was recently featured on the BBC.

In his second column of the week, Sun Columnist Peter Lucas,

luke1825@aol.com, has a three-words of warning for those who would

like to see President Donald Trump impeached: President Mike Pence.
