One transported after rollover accident
MADISON — A one-vehicle rollover accident just south of here on Highway 81 was caused by icy road conditions Monday morning.
Trooper Russ Dostal with the Nebraska State Patrol said a male driving a Toyota Tundra southbound when he lost traction as he came out of a curve.
The driver’s tires spun and he veered into the west ditch, hit an embankment and went airborne before landing on the passenger side.
Dostal said the Jaws of Life were used to extract the driver, who was the only person in the pickup.
The driver was transported by Madison Rescue to Faith Regional Health Services in Norfolk.
The Nebraska Department of Roads also responded to the accident.
