ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) _ Orlando guard Tracy McGrady had his balky back examined in Atlanta on Wednesday and missed his team's game against Utah.

McGrady, the league's fifth-leading scorer with a 26-points average, strained his lower back during a loss at Seattle on Sunday night. During the preseason, a similar strain sat him down for four games.

McGrady's ailment is another setback for Orlando. Forward Grant Hill had season-ending ankle surgery Wednesday.

It is not known when McGrady can return to action, and he is day to day.

Richard Nyberg of the Atlanta Back Clinic will be evaluating the 22-year-old McGrady.
