VOLLA MAYNARD, 95, of Huntington, W.Va., passed away Wednesday, August 15, 2018, in Abbyshire Place in Bidwell, Ohio. Funeral services were conducted 2 p.m. Saturday, August 18, 2018, at Morris Funeral Home Chapel, Wayne, W.Va., with Elder Roger Maynard officiating. Burial followed in the S-D Copley Cemetery, Dunlow, W.Va. He was born February 22, 1923, at Dunlow, W.Va., a son of the late Mose D. and Sara Jane Williamson Maynard. Volla retired as a self-employed Timber Sawyer. He was a member of the Echo United Baptist Church and a veteran of the United States Army. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four sisters, Neltha Williamson, Odessa Baker, Opal Violet Olson and Olena Marcum; four brothers, Lonnie, Donald, Stolla and Leonard Maynard. He is survived by two daughters, Vollena Clay (David) of Huntington, W.Va., and Vickie Kutscher (Jimmie) of Jacksonville, Fla.; two sons, Van Kenny Maynard of Wilsondale, W.Va., and V.J. Maynard of Wayne, W.Va.; six grandchildren, Deanna, Vickie, Stacie, Amy, Kandice and Lonnie; two great-grandchildren, Nolan and Morgan; one great-great-grandchild, Kennedy; one sister, Oneida Parsons of Texas.
