$100K lottery ticket bought in Aiken, officials announce
Someone who recently purchased a lottery ticket in Aiken has a reason to celebrate.
A $100,000 winning ticket, of the Palmetto Cash 5 variety, was purchased at Mo Convenience and Tobacco Store at 185 Beaufort St. N.E., according to the S.C. Education Lottery.
Another $100,000 Palmetto Cash 5 winning ticket was purchased at a Circle K at 1401 E. Liberty St., Marion.
The lottery agency announced the news late Thursday morning.
Both winning tickets matched all five numbers drawn on Wednesday: 6, 12, 13, 17 and 24.
The odds of winning $100,000 playing Palmetto Cash 5 are 1 in 501,942, the S.C. Education lottery said in a related press release.
The winners have 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim their prizes.
