PHILADELPHIA (AP) _ Flyers left wing John LeClair returned to the lineup Sunday when Philadelphia played Phoenix, five weeks after he had back surgery.
LeClair wore a wig as he skated on the ice for warmups, and took several shots with it on. It’s unknown why LeClair _ a quiet, unassuming individual _ wore the wig.
LeClair had surgery to repair a herniated disc on Oct. 21, and was expected to be out at least six weeks. He missed 20 games.
LeClair, a five-time All-Star, had played in 441 of 447 games since joining the Flyers in 1995. He had one goal and two assists in two games before the back injury.
