Man stabbed during fight at Cleveland nightclub

CLEVELAND, Ohio — A 57-year-old man was stabbed during a fight a nightclub, police said.

The stabbing happened about 12:30 a.m. Sunday at La’robb’s Nightclub on Union Avenue near East 103rd Street in the city’s Union-Miles neighborhood.

The man told police he was inside the building when he got into an argument with another man at the bar, police reports say.

The argument escalated to the point the two pushed each other and punches were thrown. The man told police the other man picked up an unknown object and stabbed him in the left wrist and left shoulder, police reports say.

The man ran home and called 911. He told police that the ambulance was taking too long so his wife drove him to University Hospitals.
